The perfect day

Sometimes we are lucky enough to stumble upon one.

Where after a week of work, including a Saturday shift leaves you tired and weary but the thought if just one full day off with your family is enough to pull you through.

That was today.

We all slept in til 7am - I drifted in and out a little before and enjoyed the silence if our house, the soft snores next to me and the sweet rustlings in the room over.

We had a big homemade breakfast all of us feasting on eggs and sausage and biscuits

We played in the floor tossing the ball ( his first word we started hearing earlier thus week getting clearer every time we played with it), walking with the push toy, reading, and zooming trucks across the carpet.

We all three took an afternoon nap.

We snuggled on the couch playing with a sing a ma jig.

We went to the grocery store

We went out for dinner

J and I watched a movie on the sofa after bedtime

We were a family

We relaxed

We watched as our little bit grew and learned and explored and smiled and laughed and clapped

It was the perfect day

I am grateful
