He is learning
All by himself
He is proud of himself and of his accomplishments
He let go of the side of his playpen
He stood sturdy and strong on his two feet
He looked at us
He smiled
He clapped his hands
He laughed
He kept smiling and clapping
And standing
All by himself
While j and I whooped for joy and smiled and clapped right along with him
Today is a new day
A new beginning
