LC slept almost all night - only waking once (making me think this growth spurt which involved waking up 2 and 3 times a night was over), and we got up, got dressed, and headed to the doctor to have his rash (which we learned was dry skin = more lotion = I paid $25 for this, but really it's okay b/c his ped is awesome, and answers all of my questions without a blink of an eye).
Then we stopped by our car insurance office, paid our bills & LC wowed the ladies - and the men there!
Then we drove into town and met up with one of my best buddies from NYC, M! She was in town for work and had some free time so we got together for lunch!
LC was most impressive - he slept through part of lunch, woke up, and talked and talked and talked to us! The most talking in one sitting that I've ever seen! He knew he was with the Momma and her friend and he just wanted to be involved in all the catching up chatter!
And, having not eaten since 7:30 (we were on the move and he was intermittently napping), he didn't even get fussy!

We headed back to M's hotel room and I fed him and changed him and we played a bit before heading back home.
Once home, naps were not happening lol. So we played outside on the balcony, watched the leaves fall, looked up at the pretty blue sky and puffy white clouds, felt the breeze on our faces.

Then we got a nap in - for one hour - the Momma did a few chores around the house & then stopped, sat on the couch and read! Ahhhh reading! It's the best way to relax!
Then LC was up up up and we played some more until Papa got home.
Just LC and I.
Our special day.
I treasure it.
I treasure his smiles that he reserves just for his Momma, the laughter that peels out of his mouth when we play on the floor and tickle tickle tickle.
The blowouts in his pjs as I'm getting ready for the day, and the big grin that appears afterwards.
The one toe sticking out of his footie pjs that wasn't like that when he went to bed - grow little man grow!

I don't think I have ever loved someone more....being a Momma is the best thing ever.
ps- my coffee table is dusty, my bathroom needs to be scrubbed, and my apartment needs to be vacuumed, but my blog, my memories, they can't wait...so I blog...for me...for LC...for our memories that are made everyday. And the dust settles...because it's worth it! :)
