Mimi and LC

My Mom came to visit last week and what a godsend! Not only did she get to visit and cuddle her brand new grandson, but she and I got some great time together too - time we've not had in what feels like eons.

She did laundry, cleaned my house - like scrubbed the floors -- on her hands and knees! Cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner for me (and for J when he got home from work), and snuggled LC and read him stories, taught me how to change a cloth diaper, and gave me great confidence in being a new mommy! Plus with me still recovering, it helped to have someone lifting LC and his carseat for any adventures we went on during the day :) I'm still working up to the lifting part, may be a bit more time yet.

And she made sure I rested everyday, walked everyday, and stayed very hydrated. What Mom's do best - keeping good tabs on their babies right :) It's the best best best!

It was a truly great week and we didn't want her to leave!



She was plotting how to get LC back home with her the whole time, and since my Dad arrived this week, he has been doing the same thing.

Fortunately, we will be making a trip down to see my family in a few months so he will get his fix of Mommy's family in no time!

Mom - thanks for a wonderful week- I couldn't have done it without you!! We can't wait for your next visit and our trip home!
