36w2d OB appointment update

We had our 36 week (and 2 day) appointment bright and early this morning- 8AM.
I weighed in at 1lb more than last week - a grand total of 21 lbs. Woohoo!
Baby's heartbeat was 147, so nice and happy and strong! We like that!
She could feel his head from feeling around on my belly (I put my hand on it too to see what it felt like, so cool!, and could feel his feet on the right side and his butt and back on the left. So he is in head down position woohoo!
And, the best part, I'm 1cm dilated! I know it's nothing to go crazy about, because you can walk around dilated for weeks, and we've still got 4ish to go, but hey, I'm excited! We are all excited actually!
I still think he's going to come early, but hope for a good week or two more of cookin' before he makes his grand entrance.
She said he still feels average size so that is good as well - my fears of him growing to be a 10lber before entering the outside world are pretty much gone, shew!
We go back next Tuesday - see a different doctor to attempt to make the rounds, but there are about 20 doctors in the practice and we just go to the satellite office so not much variety, so we'll see a new dr next week and then back to our regular OB for the rest of the visits. Not many more! OMGosh! :)
