So nice to meet you - I've been waiting for your appearance to reassure me (even though symptoms may or may not indicate viability, some women go through the whole time and feel awesome, some not so much)...me...kinda in the middle, but guaranteed loving every minute of it :)

I’ve been so worried about symptoms and getting them and not getting them lately. Well, today that all changed. At 5 weeks 5 days, I started what I can only call as feeling “gross”. Let me explain: I eat something small and I feel really full and disgusting (even if it is something bland and small, like 2 crackers). Or, I am starving and my stomach is rumbling but NOTHING sounds appealing. And I mean nothing. J says I will go out and get you whatever you want, just tell me. And I shake my head, curl up on the couch and try to take a nap, hoping that I’ll feel better when I wake up. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. This feeling went on for about 1 week, until I called the nurse at my OB’s office (love my OB, and her nurses AND the fact that they email as well as take phone calls). I told her what I was feeling and she said it is probably a touch of morning sickness…blech! She advised small meals, not thinking about eating 3 square meals a day (which I wasn’t really focused on anyway), and incorporating ginger into my foods and drinks, and bland boring foods best, and to eat what appeals to me. She also suggested Seabands, which are little wristbands that have a piece of plastic that presses on a pressure point in your wrist that is supposed to alleviate nausea. Naturally I jumped on that since I’d been trying the other things and..miracle of miracles, IT WORKED!!! Thank goodness. I can eat more like a human again, at least for now, although still going slow and eating small meals, I can’t get too excited and overload myself or baby that’s for sure. But the other night I was starving and we had tacos (already love these to begin with), and they were SOOO good! I’ll take relief please
