Rice&Beans, Couch Pillows, & Java Chip Frapps, Oh my :)

What a Thankful Thursday it is over here! So much so that I had to post yet again, this evening :)
After a great day at work - I was super productive, and learned a few new things AND picked up a couple more little projects, so I feel very fulfilled! And the day sped by (which is great considering this week seemed to have been taking for-ever -- I'm just SO anxious to be off for 3 days in a row especially since I've not been off for 2 days in a row in 2 weeks, which doesn't seem like a long time, but feels like eons.). Anyway, after work today, we did our 'cooking together meal', and on tonight's menu: Rice and Beans -- a classic that my brother knows all too well from his travels and that we enjoy making and eating.
Here's the breakdown:
I chopped the tomatoes, grated the cheese and prepped the salsa and sour cream. J made the rice and spiced up the beans (but not too spicy, more sweet than spicy, in a good way).

 Sorry I didn't get more pics of the process and completed masterpiece, but that is my little set-up. Notice the two kinds of cheese - yeah we are cheese obsessed (to put it lightly) in this house :)

 Then after dinner and clean up, we drove over to the Steinmart, which is new to me, but it's basically like a Home Goods or Kohls or Marshalls. A mishmash of home things and clothing. And surprisingly they had some pillows that we fell in love with! Just the right pop of color and hints of the yellow and red that we were hoping to tie in with our other furniture pieces. AND they had a crab and a seahorse, which I a-dored, especially the crab - oh how I love my beach (and I miss it so!). Check'em out:

That is pure glee on my face right there! I think they look fabulous and so does J, AND we made the decision together and are so proud of ourselves :) I look at them and they make me smile, which is a great feeling wen you walk into your home weather you rent or own.

Then we popped over to our Barnes&Noble and picked up a little something for our friend's baby - we are hoping to see them this weekend - and I got my fave: the java chip frapp w/ skim milk and in decaf. And boy was it tasty! I'm so thankful that they've switched up their formula for the frapps and I can now get them in decaf! Caffeine and I do not play well together.

Anywho, it was a great night and I am SO GLAD that tomorrow is Friday! I'm really looking forward to the weekend, and we don't even have definite plans, but I really don' care! HA :)

Oh and the weather down here today - perfection....seriously, humidity was gone, it was sunny and there was a light breeze, couldn't have asked for more!
