So I get to work this morning (this is my 6th day on the job) a few minutes early and I'm the first one in in my department (still can't get over t he 10 minute commute and I always leave a tad earlier than I need to), at any rate, I get in, turn on the lights, computers, go through the whole opening routine. Before I know it it's 9am and we are open for the day - and it's just me - at the desk! I didn't panic or anything and I took the questions and whatnot as they came! For the next about 2 1/2 hours it was just me manning the phone and the desk! I was so proud that I was able to handle it! Granted it isn't like people are breaking down the door to come in like what I've been used to and people are very understanding which is a great help for me! Plus other people were there in their departments so that was good and I had an offer for someone to come up to help me but I declined since things were going pretty smoothly for me :) So I made it through til lunch and then the rest of the crew showed up and we got on our routine for the day.
Oh and this morning J made me a fried egg sandwich for breakfast, which kept me nice and full til lunch! So nice! I'm gunning for pancakes tomorrow morning :) He's starting work next week so breakfast is a special treat for me while he has the time!
Got home tonite and had some dinner then went off to Borders (we turned in our loose change for a Borders gift card at the local grocery store) but didn't find anything that we wanted to buy (were hoping for some mags but for some reason they didn't have the most recent mags that we were looking for). So we bought some ice cream at the grocery store and came home and watched Food Networks show 'Worst Cooks in America'. Fun show - we tend to get hooked on certain cooking competitions programs. I'm also getting into 'Biggest Loser' which I taped tonight and am going to watch tomorrow night. I admire Jillian Michaels (one of the trainers on the show) and I love to see her in action on the show when I'm used to her workout videos (which I need to get back into once we get our TV set up properly) :)
Is it wrong that I'm looking forward to baking brownies and watching 'Biggest Loser' with J tomorrow night!? :) Have I mentioned how much I love the relaxing that I'm able to do now that I don't have a 4 hour daily commute!
