Catch up

Got home too late to post last night so I am catching up now. Yesterday was pretty relaxing! (that's something new!). We hung out at home in the morning and enjoyed our cable while hubby did some job hunting. Then in the afternoon we took a trip out to the mall closer to hubby's parents house. We are both still on the hunt for some new clothes for work and play. I went to The Loft and GAP and had success!
I chose Loft because one of my best friends works at one down in D.C. and is always telling me how great their clothes are and that they have great sales. I went in and was immediately hit up by a sales associate. She was great! Telling me about how to match colors and picking all sales items for me to try (I love a good sale!). She was asking me about when I start work and yada yada, from a librarian standpoint, VERY good customer service! However, after I went to the fitting room, she totally dropped the ball! Never came back to check on me (and it wasn't like it was super busy in the store either) - at any rate, I ended up being helped by two other associates, who were great. Weird I thought. But I ended up with a cute black cardigan, a pair of new jeans, and a white button down shirt! I also got a little green sweater at GAP. Looking forward to debuting my new duds at work next week! Then we went to hubby's parents house and had some great chili and watched the football game on tv and had some laughs! Very relaxing evening!
In other news, I called work today and got my first schedule! The first two weeks I'm doing day shifts (8:30-5:30) which will be a great help since our stuff doesn't come until Sunday! And I'm off next weekend and we're closed on 1/18 so I'll snag an extra day off to unpack and get settled!
I'm SO excited to start work! We may swing by there today to make some copies for when we send our license plates back and to get hubby his card!
