Car Drama

In the midst of getting adjusted to LC, we've been hit with a double whammy of car troubles over here.

Figures it happens in the least opportune time, but what time really is preferred when it comes to having car trouble.

On Friday night J and LC and loaded up in my car (that's where the carseat and stroller were, easier to take mine than switch it all out), and the AC comes blasting on ... for about 2 minutes ... then it stops working. We fiddle with the vents, the air controls and .... nothing.

Keep in mind, we live in the south and it is HOT HOT HOT here! Like they issue air quality warnings and ozone issues on a daily basis.

So we roll down the windows (luckily it is evening so not AS hot), and make our way to our fave gelato place -- which is closed -- good for them, it's the 4th of July weekend everyone deserves time off! So we roll on to the Wal*Mart and Kohl's. I was looking for some nursing bras -- all sold out of my size. And J was looking for more polo shirts -- another strike out.

sidenote: why do larger sizes mean wider clothes, not longer cloths. sigh.

So we roll home and enjoy ice cream at home and then head to bed for a big day on Saturday.

J was overdue for an oil change / brake check so he got up and got to the place at about 7AM -- he texts me at about 7:30 so say 'don't freak out but someone hit my car'... yeah, apparently a manager in a company car from another chain of the same store ran into his car - LC's door to be exact So J is over at Krispy Kreme enjoying some donuts when the dude walks in to tell him what happened.

Sigh, so at least they are going to take care of it but J has to find a place to get an estimate on the repairs, and we have to get my car to the repair shop since it is HOT HOT HOT driving even a short distance.

But, despite all of that drama, we came home yesterday afternoon and LC kept our spirits up with his smiling tricks :)
