However, after I fed him in the morning, I was holding him and staring at him and I noticed that he was breathing very heavy and labored. Not like anything I had ever noticed before!
I called my Mom to come over and watch him with me especially since she had seen how he was breathing when he was born and had his pneumothrax.
She agreed that it was labored and suggested calling the doctor just to check it out.
I called and the nurse said any issues with breathing to come on in, and 45 minutes later, we had an appointment with one of the pediatricians in the practice - love this practice by the way! All the docs are awesome and they really get you in fast!
I showered at the speed of light while Mom held LC and watched him for any more signs of labored breathing (nada, he had fallen asleep after eating and was breathing peacefully)
Then off we went to the pediatrician and we went right back to a room and got him weighed and ready to meet the doctor.

AND, LC is putting on weight 7lbs 14ozs! That is 4 ozs more than his weight at his 2 week check-up on Tuesday! Yeah! He doesn't miss a meal that's for sure! Go LC Go!

The doctor came in and listened to his heart / lungs / chest and even made him riproaring mad by cleaning out his belly button (yay, we're cleared for a full bath! cord is all gone!). He said that LC was in perfect health, that what probably happened was that he was trying to spit up and it didn't get past his throat to come out, so that caused the labored breathing. And there were no signs of another pneumathorax or any congestion or anything wrong w/ his lungs etc. SHEW!
So he said to just watch how he feeds this weekend and let them know if it is any different than normal. Soo...knock on wood .... he's been feeding like a champ this weekend!
That's our little warrior! I shouldn't be surprised at his strength but really, I am. He is the most awesome little angel ever! Wow!
ps- does anyone know why these pics are sideways? they look right in my album!? weird.
