First Shower

Just a quick update because I don't want to forget!

Everyone knows that little boys are infamous for peeing during diaper changes. Well, LC is no exception!

Except...he does it ON COMMAND! :)

I swear, this baby is a genius!

J and I were changing him yesterday afternoon (yeah, we tag team changing and dressing him, it's a 2 person job sometimes, plus we both just want to be around him and helping), and we keep him exposed sometimes while we get his stuff all situated (cord care, circ care), and J says "I wonder when he's going to pee on us?", and as I said "oh it'll happen, you just wait!"...LC heard us and instantly a stream of pee shoots out of his little peepee, and makes a nice rainbow across the wall, and some drips on the changing pad cover. I quickly realized what was happening and just covered him with the new diaper to catch it. J stood there cracking up!

Once we figured he was done (he was), we finished his diaper change and went on with our day. But wow, talk about knowing your parents, and hearing and understanding :) I mean I know he didn't really understand our convo, but still...I've said it before, and I'll say it again - this baby has amazed me from the moment of conception, and each day thereafter, and even moreso in his first few days of life here with us! Wow....just...wow...
