Weekend Recap

Shew! It's been a busy weekend - it was wonderful to be off from work both days! We got a ton done, and that INCLUDED some naps and relaxing and reading!

Both days we were up no later than 7am, and on Saturday we were out of the house by 8:45 and Sunday by 10:30. A feat for us considering a lot of mornings we take our time getting up, by 8 or 9, sip our coffee, have breakfast, putter around the house doing laundry and random stuff on the computer, exercise videos, etc.

This weekend we went to the grocery store (don't laugh, it has to be done, we don't eat out hardly at all so cooking our own food comes at a price ya know), shopped around for a new watch for J, and maybe one for me, maybe, because the band on my current one has about had it and I bought it so long ago that they don't make it anymore), installed the carseat and both bases and mirrors in both cars, bought a bookshelf, built the bookshelf, and put the books ON the bookshelf in the nursery, washed diapers, washed the rest of his baby clothes, and our clothes, prepared breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ate said meals (delish by the way, fresh trout, couscous and brocolli on a Saturday night was divine), watched some ice hockey, read some of my book, read to the baby, puttered around Barnes&Noble, had lunch with J's parents, and got all ready for the week on Sunday night.

It doesn't seem like a lot, it certainly wasn't a scintillating weekend, but it was our weekend, we did what we wanted to do, got a lot accomplished, and enjoyed our time together, which is the most important and LC's wiggles letting us know he was along for and enjoying the ride too :)
