Well, it's Sunday evening and if LC doesn't arrive by Tuesday, 8AM when our appointment is scheduled, we talk induction.
Sigh...
I know the end result is the same - a healthy baby and a healthy Mommy, but I can't help but worry, induction = lots of medication, which can lead to stalled progress and labor, which can lead to a c-section. Which can lead to a distraught Mommy - Me.
It's not the surgery that worries me, it's the recovery. I really don't want to spend the first 6 weeks of my baby's life barely able to move and hurting, thus not able to fully enjoy our time as fully as we start out our family.
So with that I take all things into consideration, talk to my doctor, and see what the best thing is to do.
But if I know my body, and I know my baby boy, he knows his mother's anxiety over this and will probably hold out til the last moment before saying 'AH-HA! I GOTCHA!', See Mommy, no need to worry, I told you I'd come on my own - you just need to be patient (ah I've heard that before - ahem) :)

E - my best friend was induced a week after her due date and did not have a C-section. Very quick delivery actually! Good Luck!
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking of you! And I thought I would see a pretty baby smiling back at me when I came to your page...
ReplyDeleteGood luck! The c-section is not all that bad. I am at 2.5 weeks and pretty much totally back up and running - just no HEAVY lifting. I will keep thinking of you and LC - I am sure everything will work out just fine. Stay positive!
