WalMart, and Gliders at 9PM

Why do we always end up at Wal*Mart at 9pm on random weekend nights - like Friday, and Saturday this past weekend!? Alas, we do, and this past Saturday night it was to check out a glider that we saw the night before (when we were too tired to really get someone to pull it down for us).

Apparently, putting gliders on display, ABOVE everything else, making then unable to be sat on to see if you really want to purchase it or, just purchase it blindly, is their way of marketing. But I digress.

So after going to the cashier, customer service, and the fitting room, finally, 'Dave from Dairy' (who had been paged on the intercom twice, by his boss Dan - don't ask how I know all of this), made his way over to the glider section and kindly pulled both gliders off of their display. Note: the matching ottomans were strapped in, unable to be tested by potential buyers - but hey, we'll take what we can get.

We sat in both, and were sadly not impressed, but it wasn't $700 like the other one I fell in love with, but it also wasn't as roomy or comfortable.

Again we are back to the drawing board on that one. Which is okay, something will come through. It has to right! J got a coupon for 15% off at Burlington Coat Factory (they sell baby stuff) so we may try that at some point.
