Yep, I made that word up, but it sums up our Saturday!
J and I got up and did some random stuff around the house on Saturday morning, then we decided to put our never ending to-do list aside and go out on a movie date! SO fun! We've turned in our change for a movie gift card several months ago, and it worked out to be the price of 2 tickets (matinee to get the best deal)! So after a minor debate about the best way to spend 2 hours of our Saturday, we decided to take time for ourselves, and enjoy a movie. So we picked 'Grown Ups', which we watched a trailer for the other weekend. It was cute and super funny....and we held hands the whole time :)
Then we came home and had some leftover spaghetti for lunch and watched tv and I took a nap on the couch (oh how I love lazy afternoons and naps). I think J fell asleep for a bit too - but he found Star Wars on tv, so was hooked for a bit before nodding off. Speaking of Star Wars (I'm not as into it as others) but that Yoda guy is so stinkin' cute! He talks backwards, he's little and green, and has big ears, and I love it!!! Later in the afternoon, we got a call from J's old college buddy D who was in town this weekend with his wife and their new baby boy, so we drove over and met them for dinner.
It...was...so...fun!!! It was great catching up, and their baby boy B it too cute for words! J and I took turns holding him and he was completely content pretty much the whole time with both of us! So cool!!! And D and A are amazing parents!!! At only 3 1/2 months they've got it down pat, it is so cool to watch!
We chatted and got caught up over a great meal! I swear my mouth hurt from smiling so much, but it was so great getting together and catching up. D & J even saw another college roommate at the restaurant so it was like a whole reunion thing going on! Unexpected blessings right! Here is a pic of all of us taken outside the restaurant before we left! Me, J, D, baby B, and A :) Love you guys and had SO much fun! We've gota get together again soon!! Double dates are SO FUN!
