Happy 8 months

A day late!

Yeah remember those days/months/weeks on maternity leave where as each new month of LC's life unfolded, I lovingly wrote him a letter highlighting the achievements of his past month of life?

Then September 20 came and at 16 weeks, LC headed into daycare, I headed back into work.

And those loving letters were composed in my head each day / month and not all made it to the blog.

Yeah..that.

So here we are at 8 months and the time is flying.

We've successfully (albeit brutally and painstakingly) moved apartments - just 5 minutes down the street, but updated appliances, a whole other bedroom, and more space in general, made for a great change in our little lives!

We're continuing on solids - did I tell you? We did start solids and we're now on 1 solid "meal" a day, at dinnertime. LC has worked his way up to stage 2 foods (i.e. just a larger portion than stage one), pureed / organic foods - I didn't want to give him this jarred mess but organic and as natural as possible and convenience is where we're at now - once we're REALLY settled in this new apt we can entertain the idea of make your own babyfood :) Daycare said they'd feed him if we made it so that's cool! Anywho, he polishes off 1 jar of stage 2 food per night after a good nursing session when we all get home from work/daycare.

And let me tell you, he is a wee foodie at heart! He is not afraid to try anything, and he has yet to meet a food he won't eat! Maybe he'll not be a picky eater (aye, do I speak too soon) :) We'll take what we can get now! He puts his whole head forward and opens his mouth wide for the next bite, and heaven forbid you're too slow or else you get waving hands in your face! :)

Our biggest milestone this month is : army crawling! And right on his 8 month birthday! Right when I think he will never crawl, off he goes! We have a great hallway in our new apartment that will make for an outstanding straightaway once he really gets motoring :)

And the smiling and laughter and hugs and kisses just keep on coming! It's the best thing ever! You only ever give kisses to me, and to your grandmothers. Nobody else, not even Daddy or Grandpa!!
