8 week letter (aka WHAT where did the time go!?)

Dear Sweet LC,

My oh my, Mommy and Papa cannot believe that you have been with us for 2 months already! Feels like just yesterday they were pulling you out and you cried your first cry in the open air.

You never cease to amaze us little one. Each day brings something new and we just can't get enough.

The light in your eyes as you discover the mobile and mirror on your swing

You took a bottle for the first time without a hitch!

You smile on a daily basis and you are just starting to get the hang of this thing called laughing.

You are such a happy baby, only crying for a diaper change or food from Mommy (or a bottle from Daddy if it is bedtime).

We got you into a bedtime routine of bottle with Daddy, storytime, swaddle, paci, white noise machine and Scout tunes as you drift off to sleep in your crib.

Yep, you started sleeping in your big boy crib this month! We practiced with naps and then transitioned you in one night when the bassinet had seen its last night, and the pack n' play was taking up too much room in our bedroom (and your weight may have been too much for the high setting).

You started taking two naps a day (usually) one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Not always at the same time, but that's okay! You even let Mommy vacuum in your nursery while you nap!


We skype with Mimi and Grandpa on a pretty daily basis, along with tummy time, storytime, and helping Mommy around the house with changing the sheets, emptying the dishwasher, folding the laundry, making lunch.

You soak it all in and I don't know how many times I look over and see you smiling up at me, or staring intently at what I'm doing as if you're memorizing my every move (you probably are).

You my little sweet one, are the light of our lives.

Keep the smiles, and laughter and sweet gentleness that is all you coming.

Mommy and Papa can't get enough little love.
